High-Profile Leaders among Its Supporters
ROLLING HILLS ESTATES,
“Steve is a valuable addition to the EDSF
board,” said Jeanne Mowlds, EDSF Executive
Director. “His knowledge and passion for the industry combined with his keen
desire to support programs that prepare the next generation of professionals
for the industry is key to EDSF.”
A Hewlett Packard employee for
more than 20 years, Nigro is no stranger to the document industry. “I’ve
admired the work of EDSF for some time and now I have the opportunity to become
directly involved in the Foundation’s efforts,” he said. “We all benefit by
giving back to the document management and communications industry through
EDSF’s scholarship and research grant/mentoring programs.”
Within HP, Nigro’s organization is responsible for IPG’s graphics businesses, generating new imaging system businesses, and for developing new printing and non-printing technologies. GIB leads the strategy to capture high-value pages by developing compelling solutions for the industrial, commercial printing and graphics segments. This includes responsibility for large format (DesignJet) printers, Indigo digital presses, digital publishing solutions, graphics printing solutions, and specialty printing systems. The imaging system businesses consist of digital projection systems and the new “Halo” virtual conferencing systems.
GIB also includes some of HP’s most valuable technology development assets. GIB is responsible for developing HP’s own printing technologies, including all inkjet systems, liquid electrophotography, and LightScribe. These capabilities also contribute to developing new technologies to enable the imaging systems business.
