The John A. Lopiano Endowed Scholarship was established in 2001 and fully funded in 2004 by Andy and Julie Plata of COPI and OutputLinks.
The Platas chose to endow the EDSF Scholarship in honor of John Lopiano because of his continuing leadership and dedication to the people of the industry. Both Lopiano and the Platas recognize the importance of identifying and supporting deserving students who have the potential to make a difference in transaction output.
Mr. Lopiano sets a wonderful standard for excellence in our industry. His vision has been important to the output industry, and his contributions are numerous and still growing. Julie and I felt that by providing this endowment we could assure that scholarship funds would be available in perpetuity in honor of this very special person.
