EDSF ANNOUNCES 2006 EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH GRANT RECIPIENTS
Research on Technological and Societal Changes Proves Valuable to Entire Document Communications Industry

“The research produced by the efforts of the EDSF grant recipients has been embraced by the document management and communications industry,” said Kenneth Morris, Ph.D., EDSF vice chair of research. “In addition to generating valuable research, these programs provide a quality learning experience for both students and faculty. Student involvement provides both hands-on experience and a fresh perspective on industry issues.”
Last year’s research included such topics as global adoption of JDF technology and the personalization of data for web site and print publishers. This year’s lineup includes equally provocative topics. The EDSF Research Grants have been awarded to the following universities and professors and their student teams:

EDSF will call for 2007 research proposals in the fall of 2006. An EDSF webinar is scheduled for the early fall to help academics develop their proposals and learn more about the program.
