Eligibility

• The Excellence in Education Awards are open to programs and professionals at the secondary school, junior/community college, university and continuing education levels
• Awards are open to individuals and programs worldwide.
• You may nominate a program for the Innovation in Education award and an individual from that program for the Educator of the Year award in the same year.
• Self-nominations are allowed.
• Previous award recipients are not eligible to enter for the same category for a three-year period.
• Members of the EDSF Excellence in Education Selection Committee may not nominate themselves, individuals within their organization or programs within their organization.

Selection Process
Submissions are reviewed by the Excellence in Education Awards Committee. This committee consists of knowledgeable individuals from the document management and graphic communications industry and will be evaluated on the following:

Innovation in Education Criteria

1. Enhances the effectiveness of education in the document communication industry, the workplace and the community.
2. Contributes to the teaching process, academic growth and excellence and the art, science and profession of teaching of curriculum relating to document communication.
3. Reflects leading-edge technology and addresses the most current needs of the industry.
4. Prepares individuals to contribute to the future of the document communication industry.
5. Offers program in a university, college, community college, trade or occupational school, or through a profit or non-profit organization.

Award Recognition
The Excellence in Education award recipients will be honored at the 2009 AIIM / ONDEMAND Conference and Expo, March 30 - April 2, 2009, Philadelphia, PA.
