Nominations Sought for EDSF Excellence in Education Awards
Awards to Honor Academic Programs, Institutions Focusing on
Document and Communication-Related Technology
TORRANCE, Calif. U.S.A. (May 9, 2000) - The Electronic Document Systems Foundation is seeking nominations worldwide for its annual Excellence in Education Awards program. The awards honor the top, innovative academic institutions and curriculum that benefit the document communication systems industry.
Award recipients will be honored Sunday, October 29, 2000 at the opening ceremonies of Xplor International's 21st Global Electronic Document Systems Conference & Exhibit in Miami Beach, Fla.
Selection Criteria
Nominees of the EDSF Excellence in Education Awards must offer curriculum that includes document preparation, production, and/or distribution of documents, such as: 1:1 marketing, graphic communication and arts, e-commerce, imaging science, printing, web authoring, electronic publishing, computer science or telecommunications. Institutions and schools honored should contribute to the academic growth and excellence of the industry, and prepare students to contribute to the future of the document communications industry.
Educational programs should be nominated for their innovation in one of the following four categories: Higher Education, Continuing Education, On-line Education and Training, Professional Growth and Development Seminars.
EDSF Excellence in Education Awards recognize the full spectrum of innovative education and training for the industry: including degree-granting institutions; certified programs; conventional or electronic programs; and professional individuals, organizations or proprietary schools.
