Students Receive Document Communication Scholarships from The Electronic Document Systems Foundation
Recipients Committed to Pursuing Careers in the Industry

TORRANCE, Calif., U.S.A. (Sept. 27, 2000)- Seven students received EDSF Worldwide Electronic Document Communication Scholarships today from The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF). The students received the scholarships for their commitment to pursuing a career in the field of electronic document technology in the areas of document preparation, production, and distribution. The scholarships are based on the student's demonstrated pursuit of a career in 1:1 marketing, graphic arts, e-commerce, imaging science, printing and publishing, and the Internet, among other areas.

The recipients include: Christina Chmilewski, Towson University; Mary-Lou Peacock, University of Calgary; Cindy Holder, New Mexico State University-Alamogordo; Kerry-Ann White, Howard University; Aleksandr Pelts, Drexel University; Esther Woodrich, Art Institute of Chicago; and Geri Tablit, Platt College.

The EDSF scholarship awards program was established to recognize and support the dramatic role that education plays in the success of electronic document and communication companies. The scholarships are provided to qualified and interested students who want to prepare for careers in this growing and dynamic industry.
