TORRANCE, Calif., U.S.A. (Feb. 23, 2000)-The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF) launched its new web site for the document industry at www.edsf.org.  The site reflects EDSF's mission to enhance the value of document communications by creating a base of knowledge, sponsoring innovative and academic-based research, fostering education and leadership, and building and supporting a community of interest to benefit creators and users.
Visitors to the site can access information on EDSF research such as "Printing in the Age of the Web & Beyond" or "Network, Screen, and Page," among others.  Details on educational programs are also available, including document communications scholarships and Excellence in Education awards.  Visitors can apply for an EDSF scholarship, submit a nomination for the education awards, or review past recipients.  The site also features links to educational resources and academic institutions that benefit the electronic document community.  Additional details are included on the upcoming EDSF internship program for students interested in pursuing document-related careers, as well as the EDSF Summer School Program for already established document professionals.
