EDSF Launches New Web Site Featuring Resources and Research, Education Programs, Recognition Opportunities
EDSF.org Honored with StudyWeb Academic Excellence Award
TORRANCE, Calif., U.S.A. (Feb. 23, 2000)-The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF) launched its new web site for the document
industry at www.edsf.org. The site reflects EDSF's mission to enhance the value of document
communications by creating a base of knowledge, sponsoring innovative and academic-based research, fostering education and leadership,
and building and supporting a community of interest to benefit creators and users. Visitors to the site can access information
on EDSF research such as "Printing in the Age of the Web & Beyond" or "Network, Screen, and Page," among others. Details on
educational programs are also available, including document communications scholarships and Excellence in Education awards. Visitors
can apply for an EDSF scholarship, submit a nomination for the education awards, or review past recipients. The site also features
links to educational resources and academic institutions that benefit the electronic document community. Additional details are
included on the upcoming EDSF internship program for students interested in pursuing document-related careers, as well as the EDSF
Summer School Program for already established document professionals.
EDSF Receives Recognition EDSF's new
web site was recently recognized with the StudyWeb Academic Excellence Award from StudyWeb, a division of Lightspan. The EDSF web
site was honored for being one of the best educational resources on the web. EDSF.org will be listed on StudyWeb.com, which is an
easy to use system that enables visitors to efficiently find web sites with relevant content for reports, research, and projects.
