Printing in the Age of the Web & Beyond
"Printing in the Age of the WEB & Beyond" is a comprehensive 150-page report that is a societal analysis of the future of paper-based communication. Researchers extensively analyzed existing reports and studies to ascertain the impact of technology, population and other factors affecting human communication.
EDSF commissioned Frank Romano, administrative chair, School of Printing Management & Sciences, Rochester Institute of Technology and a team of graduate students from three leading universities to conduct the study.
Investigating the growth potential for individual categories of over 100 printed products, the report utilizes trend data to determine the future of print overall. Data was analyzed to arrive at a ten-year projection of the use of paper and print, and the results establish a base point for understanding the status and value of print. Unlike other studies, this extensive research draws from over 2000 interviews with key industry practitioners and experts.
